Morin Captures Super Streets Six Pack Series Victory

Hudson, NH- Another beautiful day for racing graced the High Banks of Hudson Speedway for the 2nd to last points event of the season. While many drivers hoped to add to their points lead on the day or maybe even mathematically lock up their championship a week early while fans were treated to an action-packed day of racing. Tyler Leary, Andrew Morin, Steve Miller Sr., Brian Caswell, Mikayla Duval, and Andrew Harmon took home the winners’ hardware in their respective divisions.

New England Dwarf Car Series Presented by Construction Site Machinery and Bumpy’s Auto Service rolled into town 18 cars strong. Andrew Harmon in car #14 and Chris Sullivan in the 0No took down the heat race wins. Sullivan would go on to lead the first 22 laps before Harmon was able to make his way from his 12th starting spot to lead the last 3 laps on to take the win. Cody Hodgdon in car #31 followed Harmon around Sullivan to take control of the 2nd spot and forcing Sullivan to settle for 3rd. While the #29 of Tom Harwood used a last lap pass to take the 4th spot, moving Ryan Carman in the #08 to the 5th spot. MLM Diagnostic Pure Stocks came into the day with the tightest points battle with only 4 points separating 1st and 2nd. Carlos Grenier (1NH) entered the day as the points leader and took the win in heat number 1; while Bobby Payne (17) entered the day in 2nd and won the 2nd heat race forcing no change in the points standings. Mikayla Duval in the #59 would lead the first 4 laps before surrendering the lead to the #24 of Colton Hull. Hull would go on to lead the remaining laps taking the checkered flag but would later be disqualified in post-race technical inspection giving the win to Duval. Chris Quin in the 76 continued to improve his finishes as he crossed the line 3rd and was awarded the 2nd spot after tech. Payne brought his ride home 3rd after tech and Grenier was right on his tail taking the 4th spot. David Smith in the 11NH rounded out the top 5.

RaceDay TV Ridge Runners roared onto the track as Brian Caswell in the #47 took the heat race win. Ricky Marrocco in the 7 led the first two laps before Caswell decided to wrestle away the top spot. Points leader Callie Osborne in the #59 used a lap 3 pass to take over the 2nd spot giving chase for the top spot but just ran out of time as Caswell took the win with Osborne in finished 2nd as Tyson Payne making his first start rounded out the top 3. Taylor Graham 47G was 4th and Stone Slattery in the 2 finished 5th.

McMulkin Chevrolet Sportsman Modifieds saw heat races by the 62 of Todd Warren and the 11x of Tyler Leary. Leary would lead all laps except the first one on his way to victory lane and strengthening his points lead. Cole Littlewood (73) piloting the Leary backup car would finish 2nd while Hayden Grenier in the 83G finished 3rd. Herve Thibodeau in the #2 finished 4th and Mike Mitchell in the 40 finished 5th.

Granite State Indoor Range Six Shooters would see the “Gangster of Love” Steve Miller Jr. (79) take down the win in the heat races. Steve Millar Sr. took the lead at the drop of the green for the feature and never looked back. Miller Jr. finished 2nd with Mike Comtois in the 52NH in third.

Northeast Auto Imports Super Streets roared to life to head into the Summer Six Pack Series race. Andrew Morin #30 would go on to lead the majority of the laps on his way to collecting the win. While Matt Sonnhalter in the 33VT made the pass for the 2nd spot on lap 38 and set sail for the leader he would have to settle for 2nd. Chuck Dehney in the 33W brought the car home in third place. While Robbie Streeter ran a great race and came home p4 in his #55; while John Sousa in the 8 was able to come home 5th.
